Turn your HEIC files into JPG in seconds. Everything happens in your browser: nothing is uploaded to any server.

Or paste them with Ctrl+V. They never leave your device.

Why convert HEIC to JPG?

This is the most common conversion for iPhone photos: when you move them to a computer or an upload form they show up as HEIC and will not open. Here you turn them into JPG keeping the orientation and removing the GPS location, with nothing to install.

Windows, Android and many websites cannot open it without extra software. As a JPG any phone, computer or website opens it, and photos stay small.

About the formats

HEIC, the iPhone photo format

HEIC (HEIF) is the format iPhone and iPad save photos in by default, based on the HEVC codec.

Strengths: It takes roughly half the space of a JPG at the same quality.

Limits: Windows, Android and many websites cannot open it without extra software.

JPG, the most widespread photo format

JPG (or JPEG) compresses photos lossily: it drops details the eye barely notices so the file is much smaller.

Strengths: Every phone, computer, social network and app can open it, and it is ideal for photographs.

Limits: It has no transparency and loses a little quality each time it is edited and saved again.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. 1Drop your HEIC files in the box, paste them or pick them from your device.
  2. 2Check that the target is JPG and open the options if you want to adjust it.
  3. 3Press “Convert” and download each JPG, or all of them in a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Is my HEIC uploaded to a server to turn it into JPG?

No. The HEIC to JPG conversion runs entirely in your browser, with code downloaded from this site and executed on your device. You can check it in the Network tab of the developer tools or by going offline after the page loads.

What happens to a transparent background going from HEIC to JPG?

JPG has no transparency: transparent areas of the HEIC are filled with the colour you choose (white by default).

Do I lose quality converting HEIC to JPG?

A little: JPG uses lossy compression. At the default quality the difference is not visible to the naked eye, and you can raise it in the options for maximum quality.

Is there a size limit?

Your device’s memory sets the limit: on desktop, images up to about 100 megapixels; on mobile, up to 16.7. If an image is too large you are told before it starts.

Can I convert several HEIC files at once?

Yes. Drop as many HEIC files as you like: several are converted at the same time, depending on your processor cores, and when they finish you can download each JPG or all of them in a ZIP.
